What we are about:
The Restored Family Transitional Program is a Christ centered and relationship based apartment facility for families seeking a way out of poverty and entry level employment. We do not offer a low cost rent payment, but we offer a low cost program that is designed to give families an opportunity to develop job skill and/or education. The mission of Restored is to build and love people into a better life through Christ.
Who the Restored Family Transitional Program Helps
Just over a year ago, a lady contacted us with a major problem. She was a single grandma who overnight had to start raising her three grandkids including an infant. The problem was she lived in a studio apartment with no kitchen. Restored jumped into action. We found a three bedroom trailer that needed TLC. In one weekend we were able to put floors through the trailer, furnish a kitchen including a fridge and a stove, furnish a laundry room including the washer and dryer, and provide beds for all three grandkids.
But helping with housing isn’t enough. We wanted to help this grandma be able to afford the children by getting a job that she would like to do and would be able to pay better than entry level. This lady is now enrolled in college to work with children with special needs.
Housing Updates:
We are in an exciting season! Restored Ministries has been given a building in Asbury, MO that is being renovated into housing for our Transitional Housing Program, designed to serve adults graduating from local addiction recovery programs. We are so excited for this opportunity to empower people in recovery through affordable housing and support services!
